I NEED ANSWERS! mgp headtube problem!!!

iv bought a MGP nitro deck off the internet, but im not sure what forks work best with them because of the headtube being shorter than usual. i have tried micro XT forks, micro sprite forks and jdbug forks, but they all run out of thread for the headset nut to catch. what forks do you suggest are best?

MGP forks are great, other then that, just buy a 1 inch headset spacer...

if you did get a nitro like you said you did then any normal sized fork will work

no, the spacer is big enough. i dont know where im going wrong.
should the spacer go on top of the headset nut or under it, so its resting on the ball bearings?

You put your headset on, (The whole thing) then you put the spacer, then you put the nuts.

It should work FINE??

but then the bottom nut wont overlap the headtube cup, so there will be a horrible wobble at the headset. the whole spacer idea doesnt make any sense.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.
put your headset on, and everything with forks through and that.
then put enough spacers on to cover up the non threaded parts of the fork, then put your locknut on.

iv done that, and theres a wobble because the locknut isnt overlapping the headtube cup, iv already explained this. i just going to buy a threadless headset and hope that works.

you can do the obvios and just buy the mgp fork, but if you dotn want to spend money and wait for shipping you can find someone with an old bmx threadless unsealed headset, there is a piece of it that center's the fork its like a ring with a slit in it and is a cone shape, if you place this into your headset instead of the bottom lock nut with the bearing holder thing, and use enoguh spaceres, it will stop that problem you'v had, and then put on onyl the top locknut and it will solve your problem. also if your smart enough you can ghetto rig a crown race to be placed upside down on the top instead of a cone ceterer thing, and still do the spacers thing if you cant find someone with an old headset.
