I need help replacing forks

I bent my forks horribly the other day. I had an old scooter that fits but i cant get the bent forks off. I really need help. Sorry if theres a thread already but i tried the search and its confusing since im new.

first thing is to loosen the clamp at the bottom of your bars to take them off. once you unscrew your bars you will noticed that you can now remove the two nuts that are tightened onto the fork. do this and then your fork should slide right off. be careful to remember which way the bearings faces cause they will fall out when you take off your fork.

then just put your new one on with all the steps above in reverse order

did you bend the fork tube? if you did you might not be able to pull it out so you probably want to cut of the top section, or you could probably bend it pretty easily.

i just try to help and keep my pointless posts to a minimum. and ive always done that, its only now you say that cause i just returned to sr.

thanks eric that should help once i get my scooter back (at my other house).i didnt know that the bars needed to be screwed off, i was just pulling them. I just pulled and they came off the other scooter, might have been an old A but my little borther tried painting it so i have black forks on my silver scooter lol

wow that sucked a bit, i almost got them then i told my friend not to tuch them and he tightened them back and to where they dont move so i put together my old a (might be new tho)
