i really agree on this one people need to learn all riding isnt about who is better remember we all started off riding like crap sometime or another they will get better we all did its not like we just jumped on a scoot and just dominated

Well, I should say that SR continues to be quite a friendly place. If someone new to this website posts a video of him doing some basic sketchy tricks, nobody says something like "go and learn how to ride sketchy moo fcka!" (and that often happens on a lot of skaters' or rollers' websites, you should notice). Everyone just gives some advices to improve the style or to do a whip in another way for example.
Of course bumping old threads is annoying but yes, I agree with Nooner, just be patient and soon we will have an army of upcoming riders, practising their skills in the directions that THEY want.
We ride this things just for FUN, as everybody has already said, because that looks as beasty as hilarious when a person is performing some amazing and dangerous tricks on a kiddie scoot. I do not understand if someone is trying to look respectable and solid with scooter or deck or rollerblades - no matter what, it is approximately the same things in generak - in his hand. If you wanna be respectable and solid - buy a Bentley or something. If yo ride scooter trying to take over the world - quit right now ^_^

i know this thread is old, but i'd just like to say i wouldnt be as good as i am without SR. when i first came on here, i could barely whip, and SR helped me out with sooo much stuff. everyone was cool to me when i was a noob. and not saying that im not a dick to some noobs, but i just think we should help the kids out rather than bag on them. also, without SR, i wouldnt have had the most amazing weekend ever and got to ride with dylan kasson. and then there was chenga with bk and tyler hale and max and dibbs

I agree, we need to be supportive and help noobs. But it gets annoying when people come on here and post the exact same thread that has been posted 59473859375 times. I think that we really need to enforce the searching rule.

SR's awesome. Listen to Nooner please. Everything he ever says is always right.

Even though a large portion of SR hates me, it's really kept me into scootering. I'd still be riding some shitty new A talking about how impossible it is to do a single tail whip off of anything to my friends if it weren't for SR. (Note: I can't consistently whip flat yet, but you get the point).

Anywho, yes. we're all noobs. noone ever picked up a scooter and was instantly good at it (maybe semi good, but not backflips n shit)
