Same. We're from the same town. His riding is mad creative. I first went to my local skate park like 6 years ago or something. I saw him do a double whip on a hip and I was like holy fuck. So I pretty much wanted to scooter after seeing what he could do on one.

fucking lucky bastard! i would kill to sesh with that man!

I'm pretty conservative, so I look up to bad asses that make up for the fun I miss out on - everyone on the Tilt team and some others.

It's pretty cool to think that someone in New Jersey who rides for mgp would think we influence them. Thanks, dude.

I don't ride for MGP haha, and honestly I doubt I'd want to. But you're welcome. You guys keep it real in Aus, instead of the standard videos that consist of the same tricks over and over.

Man, i got to meet the Yasutoko brothers. They own part of this skatepark in Osaka, Japan, called Goodskates that i went to once when i visited there. They both spoke english and were so psyched on scooters and were teaching me how to ride vert properly. Both of them were some of the nicest people ive ever met. Class act all the way. Got to see one of them do a double flat spin in real life as well that was nuts.

My bad dude, i must be thinking of that other guy. Don't know his name, but still, thanks.

good thread. this is going to date me and be long so heads up. but the people who influence(d) my riding the most would be:

Steve Schumann
the Philly crew guys: Brian Boston, Casey Murphy, DAN BARRETT, etc.
Whitewater shredders like JOHN and MATT ANDRUS, Ryan Grant
other great people I've ridden with or seen ride: Jesse Macaluso, Josh Toy, and MATT MCKEEN, Jon Reyes and his crew, and Joey Aria
other greats: Silas Henderson, Martin Kimbell, Ryan Whetstone, KC Corning, Stephen Tongson, Dibble, BK
then the guys from around here: Ryan Upchurch, Jon Devrind, Tommy Christiana, Matt Lashbrook, etc.

lots more but just had to get the ones off the top of my head. Good memories just thinking of those dudes and the progression of the sport so far <3
