When you paint metal, it is super important to prep the surface and primer it before painting. You have to make sure there is no oily residue on the metal (wd40, grease, etc) or the paint will not stick. Wipe it down using lacquer thinner before and after sanding. Just use a little 200 grit sandpaper and rough up the surface before using the primer. Once you let the primer dry, the paint should stick great.

Alright, ill bite.
Getting a new headset for christmas, sealed forsure. Looking at Cane Creek S-8, s-1, any other options? or which cane creek is best? Like what are the differences, obviously the more expensive one will be better somehow.

I'm planning on building a TSI Kukk Kruiser. Is there a way to determine the overall height of the bars from the ground after the build, given the height of the bars? I plan on using SCS and the only 125 mm fork in the store here. Thanks

^^ I think he's still running PJP's (Pirate Jon Pegs).

Tristan: The only difference between the S-1 and S-3 is that one is steel and one is aluminum, respectively. The only difference between the S-3 and S-8 is that the S-8 has better bearings. You should be fine with an S-1/S-3 though, the only advantage to the S-3 is it's a little lighter and it won't rust.
