not necessarily. Most illegal immigrants (from Mexico in this case) also happen to not speak much english, etc, etc. This is not advantageous in the workplace, but it is a setback for many employers.

If someone is living in the US and can't speak fluent english i think they should get the hell out of here. I hate that shit. Theres a big Russian neighborhood near me and almost none of the people speak english at the stores in the area. They have a supermarket where NOTHING is in english, its fucking retarded.

Totally agree, theres people in my school that seriously cant speak english, and yeah cool that there trying to get an education, but they act like hardasses when there not even cool. They need to all fucking be deported, sorry but its true. There running away from all their problems by coming here, they cant bitch about being deported when its there fault for entering illegally in the first place. In socal, whites are becoming the minority because of all the damn illegals coming over and its ridiculous. I dunno i just dont like illegals, they should all leave they dont have any of our rights besides the basic human rights.

yeah immigration is pretty bad here, and we def are the minority now. I dont have a problem with some of them coming here if they can learn how to speak our language and be like us so it wont make problems.. but still, we have alot of immigrants here who dont really care to learn our ways and it is making some problems, they all cant just come here to fix their problems.. they should fix their own country also.

illegal immigrants have thier pluses (they will gladly take the "harder" jobs that alot of americans refuse, add diversity, will work harder for less, etc)

but than their are ALOT of negatives (all the US benefits they unrightfully gained, crime/overall appearance of an area just looks shadey, most have NO idea what english is, sending money back to mexico, overpopulating areas, etc)

overall, like someone said before me, if it all were to happen legally respect would be given, but if not than get rid of them

I don't think theres much to be unsure about, the negatives outwiegh the postives so much, makes me soo mad, you know in some places they don't even have a fence up.....

yah but theres a difference between like a mexican immigrant, and a mexican. The immigrants that came over here a long time ago were devoted to help the country because it gave them a better place to live, and brought their families here (some of todays mexican population).

Most immigrants that come here today only work to get money to send back and are too stubborn become part of society. There are still some that are coming for help and will benefit the US, but they are getting screwed because of those who are just coming for the money.

this thread shouldnt be offensive to mexican people because we respect them for helping the US and living and contributing in our society like everyone else, unlike most of the immigrants. They are both two completely different groups.

I appreciate everyones opinions even though I'm not going to read them because if you don't live along the border you probably don't really know what you are talking about. That being said here are a few of my thoughts on the subject:

1. If you hate illegal immigrants you are ignorant.
2. They are just trying to make a better life for themselves and their families because their own country is so corrupt.
3. They can't get jobs in their country because everything is controlled by the drug cartels so anything they can find that is an honest living won't even pay the bills.
4. THEY AREN'T TAKING YOUR JOBS! 90% of you probably don't even work and when you start I highly doubt any of you are going to go apply at your local strawberry field to pick fruits and vegetables all day for less than minimum wage. Even if they paid minimum wage most of you would be too proud to go out in a field and perform physical labor because America is breeding a generation with the mindset that education is the key to success yet no one is willing to get their hands dirty.
5. If you want to point fingers and place blame then blame America for this problem. If we didn't hire them then they wouldn't be here. The only reason they come is for the money and we give it to them.

My solution:

1. Americans need to stop being a bunch of pussies and actually enforce our laws. If it is ILLEGAL then they are breaking the law and since it is impossible to enforce laws against citizens of another country we need to enforce the laws on the citizens in this country who are hiring them:
- $5,000 fine per day, per illegal immigrant that any American employer hires.
- After their 3rd offense they get jail time.
2. Deporting is the stupidest idea ever. We have to spend millions of dollars to ship them back just so they can run back the very next day with nothing more than a slap on the wrist from America:
- All the money we wasted in Iraq could have built a 50 foot wall the entire length of our border.
- All the troops we sent to war could actually be patrolling our borders where we REALLY need them.
3. Any illegal immigrants that want to stay in this country since it will be impossible to hunt all 50 million of them down and would destroy the economy to deport them should be given 3 years to register with the government and complete the LEGAL immigration process which means they learn English, start paying taxes and medical and work for the American minimum wage. Any immigrants who do not finish the process within the given time period will then be deported. Not only will this help us keep track of who is in our country but it will give them better opportunities as a citizen.
4. Make American youths work the jobs that they are too proud to work right now which means all of you out in a field or at a fast food restaurant. If you can eat there why can't you work there? Do you think you are better than that? I hate the fact that so many lower paying jobs have such a stigma about them. Before America had money to waste on illegal immigrants it was Americans doing these jobs and it still should be Americans working these jobs and supporting our own country.
5. To prevent further illegal immigration we need to use force on our border:
- If we put military power on our border it would get the message across that this is America NOT Mexico and if they want to be here then they need to follow OUR laws. (really I hope it never has to get to that point because the problem could easily be solved by punishing the Americans who hire them and as soon as the money runs out they will leave on their own.)


As far as I'm concerned this is just as much a war as Iraq maybe even more so because it is an INVASION on American soil. Just because they aren't coming armed does not mean they aren't infiltrating our society. Like I said at the beginning: if you don't live on the border you probably don't understand but I am having a hard time considering Southern California part of America anymore because we have lost control and we are now the minority.

No other country in the world would allow this so why do we?

P.S. - Maybe forcing Mexicans to stay in their own country would inspire them to fix the problems there instead of running away to the states.

P.S.S. - Despite what you may think about this post I am not racist but I do love this country and I think we need to start enforcing our laws against EVERYONE breaking them not just Mexico.

This may have been "your" land a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away but Mexico was too corrupt to keep it so America put it to better use. America is the youngest and most powerful country in the world but if you think we are doing something wrong please let me know what it is. I also can't deny that Americans are lazy and are dependant on foreign labor BUT that does not make it acceptable to break our countries LAWS because there are other solutions. I don't mind people being proud of their heritage but if you are anti-America then you can go back to your motherland if it's so great... which no sane person would do so shut it and be proud to be American because it is a LUXURY 90% of the world doesn't have.

The bold part makes me laugh because as stereotypical as it is it is so true so that's not really helping your "argument". I am probably more Mexican, know more Mexicans and know more about this topic than anyone because I live with it everyday. Just look at the facts so we don't have to resort to stereotypes.
