Illinois Scooterers (scooterers?)

ATTENTION ALL ILLINOISANS!!! If you are from illinois please reply in this thread. It seems like there is no scooterers in illinois. Please tell me if you are in illinois (preferably in the springfield area). If you are telling me that ur in chicago then that does not help me much but you can make a shoutout anyway. In my neighborhood nobody scooters and the only time i see anybody scooting around my local skatepark it's lousy kids that aren't serious about it. Please I need to know that somebody else understands scootering that I call talk to occasionally at a skatepark. This is not a cheap way to make friends, I'm just trying to find someone else near me who also scooters.

There is a thread in the Midwest with a list of most of the riders in Illinois that have an SR account. I live in Chicago and know plenty of people near me, but im not to sure about Springfeild.

The only parks by Springfield are a park that has a pretty big bowl (that's the most distinguishing part), and a park in the back of a skateshop. Yeah I saw that thread but everybody seams to be in Chicago and not near me. Thanks though.

i don't think you're going to find much dude. i haven't had anyone to ride with for 3 years, so just deal with it. talk to people on aim/msn about scooters.

FINALLY!!! I went to my local skatepark today and i offered to my friend to come along. He unicycles, yes unicycles. He said he had a pretty good time but wanted to borrow my scooter and try some things. He got hooked. So today (same day) he told me that he wants to learn a tailwhip so I said ok ill do my best to teach you. So I explained it all to him and in a couple of measly hours he had almost learned it. So I don't know about you but it took me a good couple of months to get my tailwhips down. In one day I think I have influenced to birth of a new scooterer and already taught him to almost tailwhip. I am not saying I'm a scooter coach god but that's pretty good for a days work. Also I think I solved my no local scooterers problem.

i live in the quad cities,moline to be exact, but our local is in davenport iowa. but its hours from springfield. we have 4 serious scooterers at our local if you ever wanna ride. its still a pretty long way away just for a skatepark

dude wtf man if the kid wants to find people to ride with then let him and dont put him down for it. and btw i live in illinois and i ride with tommy d hes my best friend.
