Im gona try my first backflip

ok next weekend im going to ollies and im gona try to back flip. im gonna be in full pads for sure and a dirt bike chest protector. ive heard some stuff and a bunch of people say its no skill and all balls and i can do them on trampolines no problem (no scooter though) so im just gona lean back and hope it works but i was hoping i could get a couple more tips besides just lean back and hope it works lol i really want to land it and ride away on my scooter and not a stretcher haha

try another trick, not worth killing yourself over, and don't be all confident just coz u can do it on the tramp without a scooter lol

It really is all balls and no skill... just be sure you're doing it into a foam pit or a big fat gym mat or something as just about everyone i've seen has underflipped on their first ever attempt. Don't try onto concrete till you're ready...

My friend kim cant even bri-flip, double whips clean and such, but he can backflip concrete.

Alright, tips for the dude trying to backflip.
1. DONT LET GO. If your going to do it, do it. Because if you bail, its going to hurt more than if you held on.
2. Its good that you can backflip tramp, because now you have the feel for going straight over backwards.
3. Just whatever you do on a tramp, apply's to doing it on a scooter, just get good speed, hit the ramp. And as soon as you leave the ramp, backflip.

As you said, its not really skill but balls, being able to ride a scooter decently (feel comfortable on a scooter) and just knowing and having a feel for going straight over backwards.

Dont think about, or hesitate, just fucking do it. Or youll either scare yourself out of it, or die.

Ye coz the second you stop committing you will fuck yourself up more than if you did commit and just underflipped.
 
Tip for backflips... Pump through tranny... if you think about it when you air out you go against what gravity and such wants you to do. just keep pumping through and again lean back. but i don't know ollies. if it has a foam pit or whatever. but i just used a mattress... and it is commitment. first actual attempt. made full rotation landed perfect on mattress just took a foot off. really nothing like a trampoline. cause i got em on tramp scoot first. dont even bother... nothing like it. good luck...!

uhm. how about we make it simple for the poor kid..

1. get speed (i think the more speed, the easier)

2. when you are coming up to the ramp, you want to lean somewhat forward.

3. when you are just about to hit coping, lean back but not too much.

4. DONT CLOSE YOUR EYES! you need to spot your landing. (i used to do it for some
reason)

5. once in mid-air, try somewhat tucking your legs in.

6. when almost landing, kinda of extend your knees.

bang.
