what should I start with. I just got my scooter (razor pro) around two days ago and I've scootered for about a couple hours total. I suck really badly, and what's even worse is I'm not at all athletic. So my question is what tricks should I start doing, what should I be doing them off of, and how long should it take me to learn them.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I know I sound really stupid for asking this but what's the best technique for bunny hopping? I can bunny hop, but I'm really inconsistent with height. I have y handle bars low and I'm bending my knees and trying to jump but only part of the time I can get a good high jump.

well the first proper trick i learned was a tailwhip and im pretty sure that a tailwhip would be a good start

First learn how to bunny hop / jump. Get good at it and feel comfortable with your scooter. To get more scooter control and know it better, just ride around and doing tricks don't really matter. When you got your bunny hops , try X ups . They are sort of easy noobish tricks but I do it alot because I like the feel of it.

Then , 1 footers , tailwhips , 180s , 180 fakie out , pumping around transitions , manuals , barspins , no footers , 1 handers etc.

1 tip. Don't think that you are a noob / suck . If people laugh at you cause you ride scooters , don't bother.

Hey man welcome to SR :)

The first thing I suggest to you is take the extra strength plate out of the front end of the deck. Doing this will make the scoot lighter and easier to jump.

Practice jumping off curbs. Try getting a piece of chalk, then making a mark a foot or so away from the curb. Then try to clear it. If you do, just keep making marks farther and farther away. This should help you become comfortable with jumping high and rolling fast.

And yeah, try 1 footers/handers, 180s, manuals, barspins, ect. Don't get down because people laugh at you because you ride scooters. The only way they won't laugh is if you just get better, with time. Just keep riding and pretty soon you'll be showing up your local skaters haha.
