i'm saving up for a new camera...

what should i get.
I was think a Sony or a Canon.
I want a really good camera but not a Vx or a Gl2. But one i can 600 or 700 dollars for and one that won't break.
and then start saving for a VX or a gl2.
what should i get?

Get a Panasonic GS500, best low end 3ccd cam other than a trv900, hands down.
