Info On V2 Broken Phoenix

I had been hearing about the newer generation phoenix decks and how two of them had been broken. So I wanted to figure out where they broke and why. I wanted to clear the uncertainty.

So instead of posting a thread to ask where they broke, I asked the man himself, Tom Floyd.

He told me in this message over Facebook:

"We had a small run of 20 decks that our machinist cut wrong at the rear brake area and he welded a plate in and we heat treated that. Two of those plates have broken and we warrantied both decks no questions asked. None of the V2 decks have ever broken at the headtube."

So if you didn't understand what he said, the newer decks broke by the back of the deck, not the headtube.

Just even more proof that Phoenix is one of the best decks out.

not really, I have one and it grinds fine. Unless what you are grinding is waxed, then you will slip out really easy.

Also some more legit info.

I asked Tom about the warranty.

Here is what he said.

"Our warranty is full replacement if it breaks in 90 days and $100 on standard decks if it breaks in 6 months."

And also...

"you always get the latest deck we make. If you had a standard headset deck then you would still get the same type of deck. I will let people upgrade to Integrated for an extra $40....so $140"
