Internet problem, computer guys please help!

Hey everyone, I just recently purchased a Dell Vostro 220 which comes with Vista Basic. I installed the newest versions of Zonealarm (running only the firewall) and Avast, as well as Firefox, Google Chrome, and of course Internet Explorer.
I am on a wireless connection which has 54 mbps and great signal strength. When I turn on my comupter and begin using Firefox or IE, everything goes well for about 10 or 15 minutes, then all of a
sudden my browsers just completely stop working. I am still connected to the internet, there is no change in signal strength or speed of my connection, however when I click on a link or type a new
web address the page just goes white, and stays white indefinitely, there is no error page and nothing loads. I have basically lost all connection to my internet even though I am still connected
and have a really good signal and connection. What could be causing this? Please help, all help is greatly appreciated, thanks a lot everyone.

Hmm im pretty stumped. Does the issue resolve itself if you restart? I assume your behind a router, so do other computer connecting wirelessly still work on the internet?

do you have a firewall that automatically turns on by itself? Because sometimes the computer might find a threat or virus and halt all the internet traffic... that's all I could come up with

Zone alarm and AVAST might cause confliction idk why it would take 15 minutes to but you might want to try completely turning one of the two off.

I'd just uninstall the zone alarm if i was him, get rid of AVAST and purchase NOD32 antivirus.

Just for trial and error, turn off the zone alarm for a few hours and see if your internet stays connected. I've never fucked with firewalls on Windows. If you have a router you shouldn't worry about having a Windows side firewall.
