Inward Scooters Sponsor Video

dude I thought it was pretty good, I like how you put your personality into the video, but to be honesty the riding was mostly just a lil' above average... sick freakin bartwists though and you've improved

It was almost all flat tricks. If you're going to ride non-interesting street spots (which is fine with me), then make sure that your tricks are interesting/unique. Some were, but some were just very repetitive and over used. Wayyyy to many whips in my opinion. There was not one grind in the entire video, only one manual, and two hang fives (without a hop in or out, so it really shouldn't count). There was a lot of stuff that just shouldn't be done in a video, and DEFINATELY not in a sponsor video. There was an indian giver on a relatively simple trick of a curb, and there was a hang 5 on flat...no hop up to anything and no trick out. You also shouldn't play out a gap as if it's huge, showing run up and slow mo and everything, when in reality it's not that big. The best spot in your video (that bank to wallride), you only had one clip and it was just a straight wall bonk haha. And yet, you had like 10 lines of just riding curbs. I would either try to find more interesting spots, or differenciate your tricks and make them more interesting.

There's my critique.

i agree 100%

honestly, riding switch on scooter is a waste of time. its like doing trick oppo footed on a bike... no ones gonna know unless they REALLY know your riding. and if you're trying to get sponsored you'd wanna put flashy, impressive tricks that really say something, not little technical things liek switch riding and double heelwhips and all that jazz. to the average viewer, you're switch double heelwhip could very well be your normal double whip. just something to think about.

i think you have alot of potential to be a really great rider, you just need to diversify your trickionary and ride more interesting spots.

-Hep Greg again.

a little repetitive, but reall good. trhow some grinds in like greg said, and some spins too. or spin combos (360 whips, trucks, etc.) get some of those in and it will be a killer video. btw, nice editing.

dont worry conor i still like you. youre one of the only honest people on this forum.

dmazz this vid was alright imo. looking back on it on videos like this i normally get bored about halfway through but this one held me all the way, so that was pretty cool haha. im thinking just do waht conor said, more variety, better spots if you have them, and less dub whips. and learn how to hang five on the actual deck haha looks better that way

Exactly.

But i still like Dalton, i liked the video but as everyone said a little more variety would have been nice.

Yeah, pretty much what everyone else said about lack of variety, etc. Definitely next time use less flat lines, because you clearly have decent spots
(like that bank to wallride, or even those grass gap things) but you're not using them to their full potential. Yet. That aside there were some good things, you got bartwists on lock, good stuff, but as nate said, try taking them to more interesting spots and you're set. Also though, one thing that has been bugging the hell out of me with your riding, but I don't know if you're doing it on purpose or not, so you can ignore me if you want, but it just seems like you "over-prepare" for your tricks, like you bend your knees and tense up WAAY too much for something like a simple hop bar or a whip into a bank, kinda takes away from your style, imo. Would be way better if you try to loosen your riding up just a bit and make it not look like you're forcing your tricks as much. Well that there is my two cents I guess, you can take it or leave it, it's up to you really. I'm probably not gonna lose any sleep over this anytime soon so whatever..

btw it's not that we think your riding outright sucks or anything like that, it's just we think you could improve on some things in case anyone in here is getting the wrong idea. Personally I think this thread has a healthy amount of constructive criticism in it, which is good, it's something you rarely ever see on SR these days, so count yourself lucky dalton.

i really appreciated that comment man =] i understand how you think that like my riding is too tense and i fully understand what your getting that from. too tell you the truth when i ride i just ride i really dont think about doing the tricks i kind of just do them lol. soo im not "over preparing" im kind of just doing it. but i def. will try to loosen up my style. and for most of the spots. again very rarely i get to ride or even film at those spots without the FBI coming like its really hard. but again thank you for your comment. and thanks everyone for your comments =]]
