Iphone promlem/New phone

Okay so I've been having this problem with my iphone lately. Its a jailbroken Iphone 4 running IOS 6.1.3 on sprint. I text my girlfriend through Imessage but lately, I get her texts like 15 minuets after she sends them. It sucks because she gets mad at me because my phone. So does anyone know of a way to fix this problem? Ive tried restatrting my phone, turning off Imessage, ect and its not working.
In this case, I'm due for my upgrade next month. What phones are good now? Im not buying another fucking iphone either because they're peices of shit!

for the first question I cant help you, I havent heard of that before, but for a new phone I would recommend the htc one or Samsung galaxy, they seem to be the leading phones other than iphone.

get a nexus 5 but if you do you'd need a case

my screen cracked when i dropped it off my lap, like 5 inches off the ground
