ipod shuffle

i know there is a ipod nano thread just below this one but im prob gonna get a 1gb ipod shuffle next week and i need some questions answered
1.does it last?
2.i heard you can only get songs from i tunes so i have to buy them is this true?
3.are the headphones any good that come with it?
4. can you put videos on there not to view but to like take somewhere else and plug it into a computer and watch it?
5.not about the the ipod but what are those dj style noise cancelling headphones like? are they good for riding?
6.does a rubber case really do anything to protect it?
ill post some more questions if i can think of them

1. I cant anserw

2. No, you can use song from anywhere, they might need to be converted to whatever the format the ipod uses, i think its like ACC or somthing. I got a converter for Tom Agasid before so theres definatly ones out there

3. There basic apple earbud earphones, theyre ok for if you want basic sounding music. If you want like perfect earphones i know a few pairs but they cost around 100-200

4. Yeah you can i think, it works like a USB thumb drive if im not mistaken.

5. Not sure if they would fly off your head or not. Could possibly get you hit by a car or somthing too.

6. Yeah, if you dropped it, it would prevent it from scratching and create a little less impact on it.

Trav jes get some Sony headphones, that sorta hook on to the back of your ear...ive been using those style headphones for like 2 years, and they own my life.

Ill do the same as Brian, i have a 512mg one and it does the job.

1. YEs its lasted me a few motnhs and is in perfect condition and ive fallen on it a few times.
2.No, you can get songs from anywhere, ive never had any troubles with that.
3.They fall out alot when ya ride some get some that hook around your ears, there not to expensive and are good as.
4.Ive never tried but if you could get the videos into itunes then maybe.
5.Never had any?
6. I dont have a rubber case but i spose it would prevent it from gettin scratched and broken more easily.

It looks like my park, haha. I only wish I could jump that high though.

My friand has a shuffle. Its pretty good, it plugs directly into your USB and to my knowage, you can store pictures and videos on it and take it from comp to comp.
