Iron plate to keep scooter in place

Aright well, this is what happened with my pro model. (locked mechanism)

First i would tighten this with an allen wrench to stop the scooter from moving all over the place

Then, today i had tightened it to much that it couldn't be tightened anymore (meaning it broke). It didn't even seem like i was tightning it too much. (aluminum= easy to break)

I then decided i need something stronger. This is what i added to it. http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/3382/frontytv9.jpg

I added an iron plate the same size as the aluminum plate and drilled four holes for it to go into the scooter. Once i did that, i locked in the way left and right screws in from the old plate. Then i got two set screws and threaded them into the scooter. After that, i put lock tight in to keep it in place.

Now it doesn't wiggle! I don't know if anybody came up this, but it sure helps! (if it even losens, i can always use an allen wrench again)

if you lock it right and tighten bolts enough then theres no need for a plate. and i even ride just 2 bolts instead of 3, just tightened it even more and its fine.

clever but alot of the time people dont even run those plates so not neccesarily necessary if you have the right size bolts.

i like your thinking though, hopefully you will come up with some more good ideas in the future :)

Yep , you don't need that part if your scooter is locked. Take it off and you will lose some weight on the scooter. Nice try though! Ignore stupid replies.
