just get a razor ultra pro, some griptape, grips, metalcore wheels, and bearings. thats all you really need to start scooting. but make sure you get the ultra pro high and then cut the hight of the bars down and make a slit.

i agree....Dont put money in bars....Use it towards a set of nice wheels and bearings ...Stock ultra pro are fine to start with if your tight on money...

No, he is from Australia, so the currency isn't the same.

$200 is a great deal for parts. You can EASILY spend more than that. Tell your dad that I understand what he means (especially if you're starting), but if you don't spend it now, you're going to eventually. You mine as well get what you want now. Trust me, I've been through it.

True. It might even get worse. For example if you get a pro model or ultra pro and snap the deck/headtube thats already 50-80 dollars down the drain. Just get the basics and some reinforcements for now and you'll be set until you start riding harder.

if i was you.. I'd buy a pro model, bolt it. buy griptape from like a hardware store for cheap. buy some grips or take em off some old bike you got, buy a yak 100mm put that in front, they don't break usually.. then you have a razor backup wheel for back. then buy some bars and you should be set for a while man.
