i landed really hard on a front tire grab, and cracked my back dropouts. its only the bottom right one, and its not cracked all the way through yet. nothing else is cracked, the top(s) is fine. Nothing is bent or slightly out of place either. just a tiny crack. (i tried to take a pic but my camera blows) so, i was just wondering...

Is it too late to reinforce my dropouts? if i did would it be useless?


btw matt, your dropout reinforcement vid was great.

help please

I got myself banned.
Is it on the like grind plate park of the droputs? If it is, i usually do that to my pros and ride them for a month or 2. If it hasn't bent yet its not too late to reinforce it.

its about an inch before the axle goes in. like right after the U part (looking from the bottom)

Edit: i have no access to a welder. and if i am gonna reinforce it im gonna use the way matt dibble did in his reinforcement video

ok.. you can still reinforce them... but if your like my friend he just broke his drop outs for no aparent reason... even though they were cracked... he still kept breaking them... they finally cracked after he jumped a 7 stair... so yea not to late

im broke so its either this works, or nothing. and i just ordered a ton of new parts so i'll be pissed if they break. so the aluminum reinforcement will work...?

I don't think its the difference between street or park, its the style of your riding which affects your scoot the most. If you do a lot of flyout I wouldn't expect it to last too long, but if you like to flow around a lot it'll be good for awhile...

my deck broke a few weeks ago after 17 months.

been riding an un-reinforced deck since then because im lazy. I will reinforce eventually again, its super strong once it gets in there i cant believe an idea i made worked.
