is riding the only thing in your life??

josh. i'm exact same as you pretty much. riding is my life. almost everything i do has to do with scooters. riding is my passion, my place, my soul. and if its yours too? then you ride and pursue your passion as much as you can, as long as it keeps making you happy.

don't listen to these guys, about doing other stuff. if you're looking back in 10, 20, 30 years, and you see all the time you spent doing so called "normal" stuff, like going to the movies, chilling with friends, etc. then you'll say, why was i wasting my time doing that? i could have been riding, i could have been doing something that made me happy.

and to those who say you can't make money off scootering- dead wrong, i make 50 bucks a month from fuzioning. i know its not that great, but its a start. who knows, this little fuzion sponsorship may just be the tip of the iceberg. probably not, but still. good things come to those who seek it.

i had more to say, but i got lost in thought. hope you understand what i was trying to say here. bottom line though, do what you love, keep doing it as long as you can. nothing else truly matters.

not to be mean or a dick but reading this you have NO LIFE. get involved wit shit, like school clubs/sports, find a NEW hobby, grow some balls ask a girl out, party, do w/e you want basically. like the day you get over scootering your gonna be like "wow i pretty much wasted the best times of my life scootering, sure it was fun but i coulda been doing other stuff"

....You're the biggest retard on the planet. the kid OBVIOUSLY enjoys scootering more than partying like an idiot, or just sitting around with people not doing much. you said "Do w/e you want basically"... what if he wants to ride his scoot? honestly, parties are way over rated. they're boring as sh!t most of the time.

Josh, don't listen to people on here that make fun of you for this. I'm 19, and i don't drive. don't have my liscense either. i dont party or whatever.. only have a drink or two every once in a while. i dont smoke or do any hard drugs, f*ck that shit. i ride ALOT. pretty much everyday. you can try getting into photography more, or into film with scooting. it'll help you learn how to use a camera, and if you like it alot, you can try to make it a career. as for scootering, you probably wont get much of a career out of it at this point in time, but dont stop riding or slow down because of that.

as for the whole girlfriend thing, you should try and find a girl you like.. having a girlfriend is always a nice thing.

yea, like i just need a girl that knows going to the skatepark with some BRO's might be a little more important than like taking her to places and spending money and taking care of her and all that shit. hahah i just want a cool, chill, hot ass girl that will come to the park and hang out and not be to into it but still understand how i feel about it. i know it might be a littleeeee hard to find one like this but. haha

so if any of you guys know a girl like this. hook me up. hahahhaahhahahhaa

riding is second to me only to my friends.

like steven said, it takes control over alot of things in my life.

Because of my passion for my team and riding in general, i lost out on quite a few things others say are way too important.

Licence at 16
Jobs
Having 50 gfs
Parties
and other stuff.

Bag on me all you want, and tell me ive wasted my life all you want.

ive had, and am still having the greatest time of my life, and id rather do this than any of that shit.
And because i dont need alot of posessions or other things to have fun, i appreciate things alot more.

Ive been going to college this whole time to help further my team and my sport to be even greater in the future, and to make it happen sooner.

im tired of dodgy people and products, having to get a sponsor to be anything or to get the help you need to continue doing what you enjoy.

I know whats important, and odds are few will understand my dedication to my friends and scooter riding.

yea i meant anything other then scootering, i have no problem with him riding his scooter. i still ride mine, but its good to have diversity. what happens when he wants to start a career? he said his grades are poor cause all he thinks about it scootering. unless hes going to do what andrew did scootering is not going to help him at all. if you dont start to take interest into other things your gonna have a rough time, when it comes to getting a job or getting into colleges.

thanks alot steven and everybody else. i dont think this is going to change anything but whatev. hahah but i got a call today and im going over to like one of the hottest/ most popular girl's in my school bc she needs help doing video shit for a project. haha not gonna go anywhere bc her boyfriend is a huge wrestling varsity rich ass mofo but whatev still hella cool. hahaha

oh and steven what is MMA????

MMA stands for Mix Martial Arts. Its full contact fighting. Ive won 2 amateur fights so far, and im always signing up to fight again as soon as possible. I cant ride much anymore, because my trainers and training partners wont bother training me or with me, if i got hurt riding. Running everyday, and working on my stand up game and ground game takes up all my time..literally. But i posted here just letting you know that your one of the coolest most talented kids on this Forum, and if you need any help with anything advice wise, im just an email away.

yea, going back to what steven said, it's up to YOU, and YOU only what you want to do with your life. And everybody is different, so I don't think it's valid to say that anyone SHOULD be doing any one thing. I mean, whatever makes ya happy, right?

Girlfriend comes first for me, i chill with her almost all the time, and sometimes see my friends who ride and don't go to my school like a few times a month, and i never go to the park, it's just not my thing anymore, i just go outside truckdriver, sf, and hang 5 then go in. I've realized that it's really not something that will help me in the future other than stay in shape. But it's still fun to do. Sounds like to me you need to take a minute and get your priorities in check, you're missing out big time in high school if you're missing stuff you're invited to. Just take some time off riding and explore the social world, and just ask that girl out man, don't worry. Good luck Josh :)

Yeah, a lot in school people want to hangout with me or go to the movies, and I say I can't cause I'm riding. And everyone say's like "oh scooters are gay, etc" No they're not, that's your opinion. I agree with Jake 100%, al because they sell scooters at walmart etc, doesn't mean thay're for kids. And I love riding, i love going to the my local skatepark, waiting for the bell to ring on a friday and go ride when schools over. I don't hangout with like anybody that goes to my school, i hangout with everyone outside of it. And that's fine with me, cause that's all i need because we have everything in common. When I get stressed out or whatever, i just ride and get my mind of things. Girl wise, a lot of girls are staring to come to my local, witch is good i guess. So basically, I love riding and it's a big impact on my life.

if riding is the only thing that makes you happy, you have a serious problem.

I don't have friends who ride nor enjoy riding. I pretty much ride by myself and learn from videos on youtube. I have the occasional friends who actually like to film and stuff. We usually just go downtown and film.

I scooter alot, almost everyday. It gives me something to do and allows me to get creative with video editing and filming.

Just do what you want. Never let others put you down. That's what I learned.

Ok, don't take this too personally since this is just my opinion, but honestly I think you should probably draw the line there. When it gets to the point that you actually are turning down opportunities to hang out with people to go ride, that's just gonna turn shitty for you and others as well. A scooter, as fun as it may be for a while, is just an object, you can't rely on it to keep you happy your entire life. Once you start pushing back your social life to go and ride, I just think that's kinda taking it a bit too far really..

Yeah I was thinking about that, I'm not going to ride when I'm like 26..and so on.
So yeah I'm probably going to get more involved with people outside of scooters.

Honestly, to everybody saying he has no life or anything along those lines are completely wrong. The fact that you can't make money off of it, and the fact that your not bangin' mad chicks from it shouldn't phase you at all. Fuck it, if you have fun with it, why would you change it? Just cause your not the coolest kid in the world, doesn't mean you should change what you have fun with to fit in with the kids who play normal sports. The fact is, friends will fuck you over just as quickly as riding 24/7 will. There is no direct correlation to how much you ride or hang out with friends, and how successful or famous you will be. You might look back on it later in life, like "wow, i wasted so much of my life doing something I like, versus something that would be more socially acceptable" or you could look back on it like, "wow, I remember when I had such a fun hobby, then I dumped it for more friends and social hangouts, and it's gotten me nowhere". So, do whatever is more fun, only time will tell whether it will affect you positively or negatively.
