yah, i'd say scootering is a good sport for excersize.

However, i'd go on an hour scooting - good, hard pushing for an hour straight - rather than pumping for 3 hours, you'd get much more excersize out of moving your legs, rather than bending your knees slightly.

id go with pumping, riding around a skatepark for 30 seconds winds me, i could scooter like 5 miles just pushing without getting all that tired just really bored. like what alex said too, bowls kill me in like 4 seconds

well when im at the skate barn doing some hardcore scootering i get all sweaty and feel pretty tired...but thats only if i ride with no stopping for about a hour

Carving bowls gets you hella in shape, after carving a bowl for not too long my legs are already pretty tired. Just do that a lot and you'll have no problem.
Thats what im talking about.....CArvin sime beans mane....then after that go for a fast cruise to the local pharmacy and back den do some nollie shizz...

Skootering really increases your awareness. You are more alert, your reaction speed is way higher, one has more motivation to do other activities and related everyday life to things they witnessed while skeetering.its a great leg workout, abs-kinda.........arms- very great workout,,,,,,,but as The Pirate says, slashin a bowl is the way to go if you wanna cut those extra carbz!!

hahaha i read the title of this thread and instantly thought:

"NO! Are you kidding? Riding a scooter raises your blood pressure, cholesterol, and increases your chances of getting STD's by 350%!"

If it wasn't for scooters maybe some of you would get some pussy. haha

I wouldn't be fat if it weren't for scooters. I'd be on a bike.

And i think kenny came out of the closet...

i always had a bad backfrom spraining it a few times, but this hasnt helped at all. if i bend over or sit for more than 2 minutes it pops when i stand up, on both sides. its really painful and i litearlly walk like im 80 50% of the time. woo hoo

Not for me lol, it proboly makes you skinnier haha but ive got tennis elbow (repetitive strain injury) from holding the grips and moving my arms, and my knees have started to ache really bad near the top of my knee.
