So, let us backtrack to a month ago. I am on TDWP's myspace, and i see this sweet looking show. The Devil Wears Prada, A Day to Remember, Sky Eats Airplane, Emarosa.

Emarosa is one of my favorite bands right now. Yes, I don't care if they suck with jonny now or whatever you think. I like them now. Sky Eats Airplane is also working its way up into my top bands, and TDWP has always been a good band to me. A Day To Remember I've seen live like 2 other times and have always put on a good show. So I was super stoked on seeing this.

Next day: I walk into work and request off April 7th. I want to see this really sweet show. I get the day off. No sweat.

Next week: I get girlfriend, invite her to show April 7th, she accepts offer, we make plans.

Next day: I ask other friend, Steve, if he wants to go too. Along with another friend, and my cousin, Tesla. She says that she has softball practice then, so Steve says "I don't know" to going a hundred times.

Every time I ask Steve if he wants to go, he responds "I don't know." We get to the weekend before the show, last saturday, and my friend Steve finally says, "Ok I guess I don't want to go."

I went to order the tickets, and my card was having issues so they didn't go through.

The next day, my girlfriend goes to the ticket thing at our local Tops and tries to buy the tickets. They say "it says they aren't available, I think that means they are sold out."

After a quick check at the box office, I do indeed, find out that the tickets are sold out. Not to fear, I can keep trying. So last night I called once an hour until midnight, where they said more tickets are "sometimes released the day of the show." What I found at midnight was a new error, "The show is sold out."

This is when I began posting bulletins on myspace, and leaving my AIM away message to "if you have tickets to the devil wears prada/a day to remember/sky eats airplane/emarosa show tonight.
TEXT ME.
I wanna buy em off you.
for more than face value.
<3 pleaseeee"

This was last night.
This morning I wake up with a similar response, none.

I continued to call the 1-800 number for tickets.com, and they kept feeding me the same story, "We aren't showing any tickets available right now, but the ticket availability is always subject to change. Keep trying back." Every hour, all day, I check to see if any tickets are available yet. Of course, nothing.

After school, I check one final time, and call the box office again. The people at the box office confirmed that no tickets were left available and not them or the promoter was holding any. I then gave up hope on the show. I mean sure I was still bitching about it every chance I got, but I didn't think I was going to be able to go. I just bummed pretty much the entire night.

Fast forward to 10:30, when I got home, I get on AIM. And of course, are messages from Jonny Craig of Emarosa.

(4:03:08 PM): I got tickets for saler
(4:06:40 PM): I need to know asap
(4:12:56 PM): ?
(4:17:03 PM): If gotta turn my shit in soon
(4:26:29 PM): I'm trying here but your not helping me out
(4:30:58 PM): ?
signed off at 4:58:49 PM.
signed on at 5:16:53 PM.
(5:20:26 PM): Ok brother last chance
signed off at 5:37:51 PM.
signed on at 5:46:37 PM.
(5:47:20 PM): Your killing me here

-------------------

So yeah, I get home, read that, and literally say, out loud: FUCK MY LIFE!

</3

Tomorrow night in Cleveland is sold out too, I asked him if there was anything he could do to get me in to see the show and I'm still waiting on a response.

I just fucking hate my life. So fucking much. At least right now.

I took off work to go to a show, invited friends. Friend slacked hard on telling me for sure if he wanted to go or not. A month after I took off work friend says he doesn't want to go. I go to order tickets and they were sold out. Tickets people said "availability is always subject to change." So I tried back for like 36 hours pretty much.

Finally, day of show, I gave up. Did other things and tried to keep my mind off it even though i was bummed x100. Get home this day and see a bunch of messages on aim from the lead singer of one of the bands I was going to see, telling me he had tickets I could buy off him for the show.

It wouldn't be a big deal at all minus the fact I hyped it up so much to me and all my friends for a month straight.

Just really, really, realllyyy. Shitty. I wish I had just come home to no response on AIM.

My day just got so much better.

Jonny messaged me on AIM this morning and said he would sell me 2 tickets for 50. (only 6 bucks more than day-of-show tickets would be if they hadn't sold out). I'm calling in sick to work and heading off to Cleveland tonight :)

edit: apparently i'm being put on a guestlist for the show, and im supposed to find him inside. kind of sketches me out.

ahh, i understand. me on emarosa guestlist = 50 in jonny's pocket. lol.

After school today, drove 2 and a half hours to Cleveland. Stood in this HUGEEE ass line to find out, I'm not on the guestlist, and the show is sold out. I see he is on AIM so I ask him what's going on and after a couple of times of me trying by myself he just comes out to the box office and tells the lady there that I AM getting in. So we get like basically escorted in by Jonny haha. Their set was really good, and same with Sky Eats Airplane and A Day to Remember was wayy better than I remember them, but TDWP is worse than I remember. So yeah. After all this shananigans for the past few days, my soul is finally at rest because I got in for free to the show, paid jonny 25 bucks, got 2 free shirts out of it, and just a gnarly memory.

sounds like jonny needed money to buy some pills

that's cool he was nice to you though, i met him a couple years ago when he was still with dance gavin dance (oddly enough they were opening for TDWP at this small place back home) and he was a total dick to everyone.
