my best friend jordan armacost got life flighted from his backyard to the memorial hermonn hospital 8/20/06 at around 4 o'clock.. he was riding his dritbike on his land..got a lil crazy and lost control . flipped over the handlebars and went straight into a tree.
lost conciousness then ended up at the hospital . on the 21st hes getting reconsturctive surgery on his leg and getting a metal rod put in it to hold the bone togehter.. he will be getting out of the hospital maybe close to thursday or friday? idk..as SOON as i heard about the accident from ryan cross cuz he saw the helicopter land i literally ran to my car and took OFF heading for the hospital . i called like at least 25 people to tell them to prey for him.. but i dont think thats enough. without jordan i would like DIEE! everyone PLEASEEE prey for jordan armacost. hes an amazing kid and SOOOO FREAKIN TALENTED IN ATHLETICS. prey that he will heal with 100% recovery. and he can ride his scooty SOON! =] alright thx everyone.. that means alot to me.

fuck that sounds bad and dude he broke his femer!! thats the thickest bone in your body!and the worst to break!

shat this sucks. im praying for him, and i told some others to pray for him too. Im just glad that hes not like dead.

I heard The Femer was as strong as Concrete, So That must've been REALLY bad. And Get well soon man, - tell him I said That. But He's a cool guy and I wouldn't like 2 See him go down Like That. Hoping for a Hundred percent recovery.

wont be soon at all, i was ina hospital for like 6 months with my leg in traction and metal rods cuz i broke my femer in 2 places before i started to scooter in 98 took a good full year to recover and learn to bend my leg like normal, walked with a limp for a few years.

yea dude, on mythbusters they took JUST a bare human femur and set the two ends on cinder blocks and it took over 600 pounds RIGHT in the middle of the bone to snap it

Yeah, he should be fine, but he will most likely never ride or anything again, his parents wont let him and idk if hell be able to phsyically, but i really cant wait for him to get out of the hostpital so i know hes alright, jordans a gnar kid, hes got my prayers<3

i broke mine in 2 places, i didnt even feel it until they layed me on the hospital bed...
i did it in my drive way riding my bike, broke it in 2 places...my mom didnt believe me when i told her it was broken and i heard it so i told her to take me to the hospital and they x-rayed it and felt dumb...it was no fun i had to learn to re bend my leg, soooooo much hard theropy. took like a week to bend my leg a degree or two it was so painful they had to lift me up ina machine and put me into warm water to try and bend my leg more i couldnt handle it. one day in my house home alone my wheelchair leg fell down somehow and at the time it was pain ful to bend it a few degrees cuz in theropy they used a compus to get to 90 degrees(my goal) and anyways the wheel chair leg that was holding my leg up straight fell down all the way and i had to sit there in pain, worst pain ever.

not fun

Ouch. That's pretty terrible. He's got my prayers! I have a friend who broke his femer doing a snowboard jump. He got about 20 feet of air and landed to flat (that's about two stories high) and he landed bad and completely snapped his femer and then went unconscious. I know another guy who broke both his femers at the same time after falling from a zipline. He was so fucking lucky that he didn't die too! Best of luck to Jordan, because breaking femers are pretty fucking brutal...
