well if its a case where the death penalty may be need you can just say you are against it and they will let you off because you need to be open to the option of it.

the death penalty does get thrown around as an option quite often....

In the UK you are supposed to get paid leave by your employer however not everyone actually pays. Sometimes these cases go on for like 6 months aswell. HAVE FUN!

idk if itll work but yea like somebody said if you have some bias to the case or have already known about it/thought about it than you are pretty much excused. i think it would be interesting to do atleast once but itd get old the second time and so on.
