Scepters are amazing except when the threads strip your fucked. 3 piece are beast mode. But I don't think there are any stems readily available that fit oversized crossbars.

what do u mean the threads strip? and so what kind of cross bars do the stems fit like standard or like a bike bar?

You know how scepters have that top cap thing and there's four bolts that thread down? Those threads strip eventually and it sucks when they do.

And I don't remember what exactly the two different sizes are, but BMX bars are usually standard, and MTB bars are usually oversized. You can tell the scepters are oversized because the diameter of the bars gets bigger in the middle where they get clamped. The reason those types of crossbars are oversized is because they have no strong design like BMX bars, they're just a straight tube, so they need the added strength.

They look very nice. Most homemade three pieces are shit and I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Scepter bars fit a standard 1 inch bike cross bar, the top cap and bars are aluminum, so they are light. the threded piece on top is steel so the threds are verry strong. by using a bike cross bar you can have back sweep or rise. If you want taller bars you can use a bar with rise up to 3". also if you want to run a straight CB we will include a aluminum shim to adapt it to 7/8th" and we have chromoly tube in stock. The scepter bar also includes HIC.
