i definatly made a mistake by buying this camera.. but i have it and i need help..

alright jvc.. horrible cameras. but i got alot of footage on this camera and when i put the files on my comp. it automatically is a MOD file... and no movie maker thing supports this type of file or w/e i tried getting file converters but they either failed or made the quality worst then my phones quality.. so yeah somebody pleaseeeeeee help me...

i use a jvc that has the MOD files

I'm pretty sure you just rename the .mod to .mpg, I think I remember doing this with a friends camera and it worked perfectly. I didn't just randomly try it either, I read it from several places on the internet.

that only works if you have a mac and it'll fuck up the quality

i told you waht to do daltonnn just try and get a better aim and ill send you the program

same thing happens to me, except mine is a camera with video mode but its pretty good quality, but its in a certain format that WM doesnt use and i tried the converters too and it doesnt work. so yea i would like to know to change it too

It worked for me on a PC, and there is no way it can fuck up quality. You're changing 3 letters at the end of a file name.
