the compression system isnt tricky, the extra parts provide extra options compared to SR models, french id has made it not only for there forks & bars but universal, the star nut is supplyed in 2 sizers for diff models of bars, also the bottom bolt is designed to work around a number of forks

I don't even understand what is going on there... props on making something simple... complicated.
Hahahahahaha. I guess they don't have cheap resources to get long bolts unlike you.

Figured out, it's simple.
The long pin has threads on both ends. The short silver cylinder has threads inside, so the cylinder goes onto the pin, and the short bolt goes into the cylinder. And i guess there are two diffirent sized starnuts and a cap.

madis has it right. i had a design like this when i first build my standered compression because you need to be able to make it fit a few different sizes of bars. you have your 2 different sizes of star nuts for your different bars. then you have a rod that is threaded on each end and the little pipe or tube looking thing is a coupler so its threaded in side. then you thread that onto one end of the rod and the tighten the bolt that is in the into it with the little end cap that goes on the bottom of the fork and tighten it into your star nut.
