Alright, i made a deal with a good hosting company, a custom pack: 1000MB space (more than i need), unlimited bandwidth !heart, PHP-support and some extras but not too many extras (for example, i don't need MySql databases) - for like 5$/month. They agreed. Server is in Estonia (i think) and has connection to abroad. Nice.

Point is, i'm moving the current video-uploader known as the TPC uploader to the new server and start a new "life" there. New uploader will be up in a few days (depends, how fast the hosting company takes to work the whole shit properly). Overally i'm happy with my search results, i find it the best deal... Some other hosting asked 18$ for 1000MB and 80GB bandwidth... and 15$ for 1000MB and 50GB... i was like wtf, i asked how did they calculate it, but they haven't answered me yet. Figures.

Could someone tell me WHO is on the photo doing a superman deckgrab? I think it's Kevin Vannuker (spelling?) but i'm not sure... shoot me. I watched the video but i ask just in case.
And does the person on the picture allow me to put a drawing of him on the site (as a logo or something) like this one below?

I'll keep this thread up to date when the site is up :)

PS! The current TPC uploader is working, but if the kickscootervideos will be ready, then i'll shut down the TPC uploader but the videos will be still there up to the end of the month, then i'll see what i will do... probably i'm giving up my dafreak.pri.ee domain. Useless information there... or just use it for keeping big files when transfering from old laptop to new laptop...

only 1 gig of space? thatll be full in like a week and $5 a month isnt that great of a deal..i dont think...ive got godaddy with 5gb of space and like 300gb of bandwidth for less than that i think..my dad pays for it :)

Set it up sort of like the point of destruction website, what I mean is to install a file download script/database/cms/whatever it was (video titles, ratings, comments etc), of course with upload possibility. It would be stupid if you got a com domain, some good graphics and then a list of filenames which mean nothing to most of ppl.

Current TPC uploader dosnt fill up after like 3 months... unless he raises filesize to like 50mb it probably wont change.

Pete, why the fuck do i need ratings and stuff? That's why are comments for! AND probably they will be commented in SR anyway. Although i was thinking of putting a shoutbox on the web, but the script sucks a little bit (i'm afraid there'll be some spamming and stuff).

Well do as you want, but I hate the list of filenames system. At least install a simple script, with vids divided in cathegories, video titles, etc.

which categories? street? park? pro? amateur haha? bails? mini-minivideos and pointless minivideo previews? Nah... then some newbies will post their clips in the wrong section so i would have to move them to the right sections and spend more time on the site. Well, the uploader script came with a log-file management system that itself creates the file when someone uploads or tried to upload a file but failed. For example: http://video.dafreak.pri.ee/log.txt (newer ones at the bottom)

Feel free to write a script including all that stuff, i'd be happy to have it and im sure Madis would too. I dont have enough experience with PHP to do it so unless you or Madis can code it, its probably staying how it is.

Today i made the template (images with Corel, HTML with Notepad) i haven't written HTML for ages, it took a little time getting used to it again haha.
And i put the holy-mother-fucking-god-confusing-and-crazy uploader script on the site. Seems to be working, i tested uploading fingerwhip.mov video, success.
I made minor changes in the uploader script too: now i won't accept zip-files (because some fucker could upload a virus with it), and i will accept ASF-files now. (somebody should test, if the uploader really accepts asf-files)

If the site is ready, then i'll change the index2.php to index.php (to main page).

But generally, the uploader is ready to get files :)

I'll continue with the site tomorrow... I'm ill, so i need some sleep anyway.

EDIT: log-file is working also.

If you added ASF into the list it will work fine, haha. Looks really nice though, good job. RIP TPC uploader i guess...

nah, i'd say it's just a improvement from TPC.

EDIT: i smell that bri doesn't like white color :D (i've seen like his shirt when he rides, scooters, ipod and some more stuff are black or near black? haha... even the current tpc-uploader).

Do you, bri, want to be part of the uploader? (i mean by that you will get an FTP-account, like on current TPC uploader, if someone has a bigger file than 20MB, then you or i could help to upload them?)

EDIT: i need a survey about the tpc uploader before moving into toukeratas.com-server: when did the tpc uploader started, updates, people etc-etc-etc...

Nah dude whites fine haha. Dont bother giving me an FTP account, i probably wont use it.

TPC uploader.. damn i can't remember when i started that, whenever 1&1 had the free 6 month trials is when i made it, if someone knows when that was tell me. Updated and people, huh?
