Legalizing Drugs.

There is nothing in the rules about not talking about drugs, and this a debate , so people just keep the "Shut the fuck up bitch you're an idiot" stuff down, if you mods don't like this, you can delete it, i just think it'd be an interesting fight. So tell me what you're thoughts are on legalizing drugs, I think all drugs should be legal, this is why.

Legalizing drugs would make our streets safer, not only that, it would end prison overcrowding. People are in jail for 5 times longer for a drug offense than people with Rape and other horrible crime offenses, how in the hell does that go on? Drug legalization would also free up police resources to fight other crimes. It would also unclog the court system. Not only that, but it would reduce official corruption. Another huge reason is legalization would save tax money. Legal drugs would also be safer, and it would completely destroy organized crime. Also, what with the use of needles, it would help stop the spreading of HIV and AIDS. It would also stabilize foreign countries, and make them way safer.

These are only a few reasons i could think of, some come on and give me your opinion. If you're going to just be a dumbass and post, "drugz are badddd they kill you" , get out of here.

i'm telling you now im not very good at debating but ill give it a shot.

legalizing drugs now in todays culture would influence kids to do drugs, even though now this is becoming a 'trend' to do drugs kids will do it now without being put in juvey. Drugs are most of the reason why people die though this is because some kids are 'pressured' into doing this or do this because they say it's their 'rebellious' stage of life [teen years] or some people might experiment with a drug then can suddenly be hooked and cannot quit as this is a 'anti-depressant' one might tell you but it is actually a 'depressant' because once you take a drug you get 'high' and things are so wonderful then when you're not 'high' things seem to be more dull so you need to take more drugs to get that 'high' again this end in death of overdose leading drugs to be bad!

Legalizing drugs wouldn't influence kids to do drugs any more than they already are. Kids think it's cool because it's illegal and stuff because you can get in trouble.

Drugs are illegal for a reason, so that EACH AND EVERYONE wouldn't touch them because they know that either way they will get in troubles caused by your fucked up mind because of the drug influence.

If you're saying that drugs should be legalized only because the police would find time to fight other crimes, then you're totally wrong also. If you want the police to be more effective, join the force and tell others to join them too.

okay just a thought who on this forum has actually taken/used drugs? like seriously? Tristan..i seriously doubt you have. the way i see it, is the only bad drug to me would be meth just cause i have had mates of mine who have been hooked. The rest seem fine in small dosages. I also believe that the whole world should listen to holland about marajuana.

but i think itd be stupid to legalize all drugs. right now heroine/meth users steal and commit various other crimes just to get another fix. legalizing it wont change that. highly addictive drugs should not be legalized. they are a detriment to society and really have no place in this world.

on the other hand, i have no clue why weed and psychedelics are illegal when theyre less dangerous than alcohol, so i dont see the point in that either.

i think legalizing would probably be a good idea for a few reasons. it would keep more money in the governments pockets so they wouldnt have to spend it fighting drugs or keeping people in jail. another would be that it would separate the people who choose not to do them and the people who do. most of the people who chose to might get sick and die if theyre not responsible though that would cause more chaos and make america look worse than it is now.

things are pretty stable the way it is, if weed was legalized it might help a little but keeping higher end drugs like cocaine and heroine illegal would be a smart thing to do.

I agree with you and madis...legalizing ALL drugs would be one of THE stupidest things we could do. If any drug would be legalized, then i would want marijuana, that wouldn't be too bad.

i think the gov should leagalize pot, i have smoked weed numerous times and partys and what not. and i am not hooked or anything like that, and its a natural plant, not like cigarettes that have shit like rat poisin in them to increase your addiction to the nicotine. also i think with marijuana being ligalizerd it wouldnt be as popular because its easier to get and its not so risky, kind of like cigarettes and it just seems boring doing it when its illegal. and even if meth and ish was legalized no teenager badass is gonna be dumb enouggh or have enough stones to try that shit. unless of course they have a bad case of the downs

The prison overcrowding isn't an issue in Canada cause if you go to jail for drugs, the drugs would have to be pretty damn hardcore. Before I die here in Canada I have a funny feeling weed will be legalized, we were almost there the past few years anyway.

For you USA cats, I can't fully give an opinion, its pretty tough down there I hear. The laws that is.

I think you guys should follow suit if Canada legalizes it, I know it would kick up a fuss with Americans...Or boost Canada's economy with more of you guys visiting.

i think its really bad idea hehe, ive seen pretty much guys who is fucked up by drugs and they are really dangerous. I dont know what one guy who almost attacked me used but omg that guy was crazy, he was hitting asphalt and taking his pants down and stealing skateboards and throwing shit, he almost catched me :S.
what my point is that they should be even more illegal so nobody wouldnt touch them.
