Almost everyone in my town does drugs. I personally will never do them for many reasons. But legalizing them would cause mass kaos. Too many people running around stoned and trippin would be very BAD. Like Madis said bad ideas would be brought up because people wouldn't know what there talking about. Also just imagine a guy on heroin behind the wheel of a car? Death Rates would go up by ALOT. Like it just wouldn't work i dont think. The world as we know it would end if drugs were to legalized.

What your missing... people are already driving on heroin behind the wheel. If drugs were legal, im 100% positive there will still be laws where you can not drive under the influence, like alcohol. People are already running around stoned and tripping, legalizing drugs would just make drugs less shady to buy. More people will be willing to try them if they were legal but everyone already knows where to get them in their town. Less people will be getting shot over drug related crimes, cops won't have to deal with anybody selling on corners and shit, it would be so much better.

And from my point of view... weed should be legal already, coke should be legal (seriously when do you hear on the news that a car accident happened because someone was coked up?) oxy cotin (not the chemical oxycodone) needs to be banned from this country, and some prescription drugs need to be over the counter (adderal, xanax, percoset, vicoden, valium). But driving should be illegal while on any of those meds.

quick drug background: when you're stoned/tripping you dont run around acting crazy or committing crimes. usually you just sit on a couch for a couple hours and watch a movie. if you get really stoned, youre not going to want to walk to your car to drive anywhere. if youre tripping like crazy, youre going to have enough fun inside your head that you wont want to drive a car.

i've never done heroine, but from what i've read its more dangerous to drive drunk then drive under the influence of heroine, and definitely more dangerous than coke, ecstasy, or valium.

Legalizing drugs is a bad idea. Regulating drugs is a good idea.

there already was a thread like this and it got locked, so dont be surprised if this does too...

but i think itd be stupid to legalize all drugs. right now heroine/meth users steal and commit various other crimes just to get another fix. legalizing it wont change that. highly addictive drugs should not be legalized. they are a detriment to society and really have no place in this world.

on the other hand, i have no clue why weed and psychedelics are illegal when theyre less dangerous than alcohol, so i dont see the point in that either.

I'll let this thread go for a few pages but it probably won't be around forever just to spare the younger audience.

There is nothing in the rules about not talking about drugs, and this a debate , so people just keep the "Shut the fuck up bitch you're an idiot" stuff down, if you mods don't like this, you can delete it, i just think it'd be an interesting fight. So tell me what you're thoughts are on legalizing drugs, I think all drugs should be legal, this is why.

Legalizing drugs would make our streets safer, not only that, it would end prison overcrowding. People are in jail for 5 times longer for a drug offense than people with Rape and other horrible crime offenses, how in the hell does that go on? Drug legalization would also free up police resources to fight other crimes. It would also unclog the court system. Not only that, but it would reduce official corruption. Another huge reason is legalization would save tax money. Legal drugs would also be safer, and it would completely destroy organized crime. Also, what with the use of needles, it would help stop the spreading of HIV and AIDS. It would also stabilize foreign countries, and make them way safer.

These are only a few reasons i could think of, some come on and give me your opinion. If you're going to just be a dumbass and post, "drugz are badddd they kill you" , get out of here.

It's like you have a scooter with a broken fork and you "fix it" by removing the fork...

Yup. And your ragging on a place you don't live in or have a clue what its like here to know what the people are like. Everyone here is educated on drugs in school, and can make the decision for themselves if they want to try a drug or not. Peer pressure can happen anywhere anyway, not just in America.

They arent allowed to advertise cigarettes on TV because of how bad they are for you, if alcohol advertisements are allowed on TV then weed would probably be allowed as well.
