If you want quick barspins a good threadless headset is a good idea. Something from cane creek or FSA is your best bet. Just remember if you don't get a sealed one to clean it and re grease it every 6 months or so.

And wheels bearings, well just pull them as far apart as you can, and put all of the parts in turps or petrol or kerosene or anything like that. Then after they have soaked for ages take them out and dry them off. Then hit em with 3 in 1 oil or singers oil or bones speed cream or anything like that.

That pretty much all you need to do to keep your scooter functioning well. Just remember to look after it and give it a good wipe down every now and again :p

Oh, and don't ride in the fucking rain...

may as well ask in this thread, how bad is it for my scooter to ride when its wet out? like not raining, but when the ground is wet? if i wipe down my scooter when i get home should it be fine, or will the urethane get messed up or something? jw

Like if they have removable shields and stuff take them all off, and dismantle the bearing into as many parts as you can before you clean it. As long as you remember how to put it back together properly....

It should be fine, but sometime the water can get flicked up into your headset or get up into your forks (depending on what forks you have). But as long as you have a good bit of grease or oil in your headset you should be fine. And giving it a wipedown when you get home is a good idea too

it will completely ruin your griptape, if your grips get wet then they will be sticky. your bearings will be trash

Grips will also throttle. And if you sponge your griptape with a towel when you get home it's fine. Trust me, I had the same griptape on my scooter for over a year and I ride in wet all the time
