lenses for d40

ok so ive heard things about most nikon leenses not working with d40s so i would like some1 to tell me some nice tele lenses or just a nice lense that would work with a d40.

any nikon lens will work with a d40.

the only issue is it has to have an autofocus motor in the lens for it to autofocus since there isnt one in the body. all dx lenses have this, though. if there isnt one, it'll still work fine, you'll just have to manual focus.

there's no perfect lens, it depends what you want to use it for.

well i want one that has good zoom and good quality....anything thats like much better than a stock 18-55

kit lens isn't bad...

learn how to use that well before you go spending your money on something else

wow! its only 160. i was looking to spend like 400 wel ill look into this but is it really legit for so cheap?

Yea its legit...and yea you can get much better ones, but for that price you really cant beat it.

most sigma lences work aswell... if your willing to pay the money.. if not.. ebay that shit.. o and the name shoudl have HSM in it.. this menas auto focus motor is in there.
