I locked my folding mech today and the bolts dont stay in when I ride it and it dosent stay tight like up right. any suggestions on what I have to do to lock it properly. heres a video on how the bolts look right now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3iqYGo1m-4 please help me out and tell me what I have to change. thanks

put some washers on there and youll be good.

picture if you dont understand. thats how i bolted an old a. 4 bolts wasnt necessary, you really only need 2 or 3. but you get the idea with the washers.

theres a headset cap, and a nut untop of it
it should be the nut closes to your headtube
tighten it up, but make sure it aint too tight, as you wont be able to turn your fork....

Take off that front plate on your mech. Thats probly whats giving you problems.

Yes that thing and no you dont need it. Its used when your using a stock folding mech so the headtube doesnt shake as much, but when you lock it, it prevents you from being able to tighten it as much, hence why you headtube still shakes. So unbolt your foldy and make sure to use the right size allen key so you dont strip the screws. Then take it off and tighten the shit out of your bolts and you should be set.

well anyways when you re bolt it (with lock washers) put the 3/8 bolt behind and and one of the 1/4 bolts in the front. it helps a ton. and take the plate off before you do it or else it wont work

nooo get the same sized bolts but longer and get 2 washers for each bolt
