Anyone else hyped for it? Personally I'm not that interested, but it's front page news over here so it's difficult to avoid. So, discuss - anyone going? What events will you watch? What do you think about the security problems?

Yeah, the security firm responsible is 400 people down so they've brought in the military. How have you not seen it - its been on the BBC every day for months!

Considering there will be busses filled with Riot Control parked every two blocks, and S.A.S. teams patrolling everything 24/7.

And about the security problems, the company hired to be in Olympic Village is also responsible for Manchester airport. Fancy looking up what happened there this week? An 11 year old kid flew to Rome with no ticket, passport, boarding pass or anything - he just walked on the plane and hid in the toilets.

England hired college students, gave them a days course on it (which none of the 17/18 yr olds listened to anyway.) Hiring mere teenagers to do such a difficult job may result in bad things.
