i just emailed this lady kim baldwin to hopefully allow scooters in the skatepark that is going to be built near my house. even if they aren't, i'm still going to go but i think it would be nice to allow scooters. here is the email. i'm going to set up a thread as a petition as well.

well make sure the petition tells people only from that area should sign.. why would they care if people all across the country want scooters in when more than half will never even go there

jack she wasn't having shit with you dont even talk.

they are building it where the woodchips by the bike jumps are or somewhere near there. it's in the early planning stages but it seems they have a layout and 650k lying around for it so hopefully it'll come together sooner rather than later.

Thanks for taking the time to write me a note and for sharing your thoughts. I recommend that you come to the public meeting on Nov. 15. This is a place where you can voice your opinion and hear what your neighbors have to say. It is a very good opportunity get involved and to learn about community process.

In preparation for the meeting, I encourage you to think about what a small park would be like for scooters and skateboarders to be in the same place. Would the uses be compatible? Would there possibly be safety issues? If you know a skateboarder, you ask that person's opinion.

I look forward to meeting you.

Thanks,
Kim
sounds like this might happen and everything. me mike and jack and maybe some other guys i can convince are gonna go to the board meeting and say our positions. this is awesome.
