Mac or Pc.

Im running on XP and I guess I must say that it is fairly stable. I remember having some total system disasters when everything broke down on win 95 and 98 back in the day it was horrible.

I like the macs interface and would probly buy one if I had the money, but saying that they are a waste of money since I can buy a pc at the same specs for about 300-400 pounds cheaper. Plus Id rather have a computer that runs pretty much any programs than something that doesnt.

im sorry but if you dont know how to clean up your computer once in a while, and like like HELLA PORN, then i iMac isnt for you.

if you like PORN then you should get PC w/ XP because it doesnt buffer... so when you are just about to pop... it doesnt say "buffering...."

if you like PORN! and dont like to cean up your computer... then good luck.

Mac and Ubuntu 8.10<3 on my desktop PC.
oh yes linux beats all ive been programming for years and linux is by far better much more flexible
vista would be great but its not meant to run on normal computers yet give it a year or maybe two and it should be suitable
mac just sucks from a technical point of view that is but it does have some nice software i suppose ive been running osx86 on one of my boxes for a while
dont suppose anyone knows what im talking about;)

i want to build my own computer and steal the mac interface, but they have to be bitches about it. ill figure something out.
You can run OSX on a PC... after all, all a mac is IS A PC WITH A DIFFERENT INTERFACE!

PC for sure. XP is solid, best all around operating system. It had a shaky start (mostly IE6s fault) but now its awesome. I use mac at school, and i just don't like them. I don't need a flashy interface or anything, i want something that works and XP does that fine.
hardware wise yes, they are the same mac just had to put some chip in when they switched to x86 so that darwin wont run without it
but on the sofware side there isnt any similarity, windows uses the NT kernel and everything is so integrated thats why bugs are hard to find
macs darwin is unix for the most part, all in all bsd and mac are most similar with linux being 2nd closest

I was just stating that you can build a PC to run on OSX, and pretty much have everything work. Theres some site that sells OSX ready PCs. I can put it on this computer im on right now but im fine with XP. I mess around with linux sometimes but its just too much to learn for me. I've set up a few linux boxes buts its just a bitch
