Hmm lets see, $1000 Macbook with decent specs vs $500-$600 Windows 7 laptop with equal or better specs than the Macbook+it plays a huge library of games with a shit load of money left over to spend on various things from scooter parts to ipods, you be the judge.

Paying $500 for a the Apple logo isn't my kinda thing...

I'm not gonna say anything else, because Brian already laid down all the cold hard facts to prove your pro-mac argument to be futile.

Yeah. Plus, virus and spyware arguments are pretty much worthless with Win7 since IE6 is RIP, and if you don't run any virus protection and and up with a virus you were probably somewhere you shouldn't have been browsing in the first place, so you were probably asking for it. The only times my virus protection software has had to do anything was getting illegal software or going on some random shady scam porn sites.

we have macs in our music block at school so i have learned to use them, but i just dont like them.

by anychance how can you wipe out vista and put xp on? im not a fan of vista

Just put the XP disk in, when it asks you what partition you want to put XP on, delete the C partition on the drive and remake it, format it NTFS. Than install XP. I would recommend using Windows 7 though.

If you try installing XP and it can't see your harddrive, its because it is SATA and you need to slipstream SATA drivers into your XP disk which gets complicated...
