Making a deck?

can i make a deck out of steel? i mean i know its gonna be more proned to snapping than aluminum is, but can i use it as like a model and have it be rideable?

it's less proned to snap, steel flexes, aluminum is ridgid, if it's chromoly it should be nice, if you want something easy do like the original tsi"s with the deck plate and stuff, if you do it right it should be really strong.

no i mean like regular steel.. im gonna get steel tubing and 5mm flat steel and a round steel pipe for the headtube.. all from home depot. not gonna special order it

you can weld that stuff it has a coat of stuff to prevent being able to weld on it

Home Depot won't have the Tubing you need- they mostly sell PIPE and some thin walled tubing.

Pipe has a welded seam on the inside so it will cause problems with using it for the Head Tube.

It would be easier to find an old Bicycle and scavenge the Head tube from it if you really want to try and make your own deck.
