making bars need help

i am making a pair of hic bars and i was wondering what the best material to use and which is the strongest (i was thinking of using 4130 chromoly) and how thick would the wall be on the steering tube be.

do you already have a pair?
if so just copy that thickness

If you want too make over sized bars make sure you get 1 3/8ths 4130 chromoly for the down tube. Good luck dude!

well the handlebar part is 7/8 outer diameter watever u want inner diameter all depends on strength
and the downtube is 1 1/4 inner diameter and 1 3/8 outer diameter
and 4130 chromoly is ur best bet

if you like slayer style bars u should make hic slayers they would be sweeeet

.65 in. thick wall, 1 3/8 OD downtube, 7/8 crossbar, 4130 chromoly, you can use either an AC/DC tig welder it doesnt make much of a difference. make sure to clean the surface of the metal before you weld so you dont get contaminants.

Or go to a welding place and ask if they can hook a brother up ^^

probably not, you need a metal bender for that...
