dont listen to him, take a hacksaw, saw in about a inch 1/2 I think and then take a power drill and drill a hole at the top of the slit and you're good

You need to properly heat treat them after. I would suggest putting them in the microwave for a few minutes.

put your clamp against the bars and cut a slit big enough to where the whole in the slit will be just above the clamp

yes, don't forget to do this afterward, your slit will crack if you dont do this. If they wont fit in the microwave try putting it into the oven at 500 degrees for 5 min.

you dont need to drill the hole... I have rode plenty of bars without the hole it dosent matter.

12 minutes to be exact. and make sure you press your face against the microwave to ensure that the process is being done correctly.
