The biggest seller of aluminum scooters filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court charging 15 competitors with a combination of patent and trade infringement.

At stake is several hundred million dollars in expected sales between now and year-end.

Razor USA, the Cerritos-based importer of the popular $100 scooter, wants the federal court in Los Angeles to block competitors from selling similar devices after it was awarded a patent for a design component of its hot-selling toy.

In its lawsuit, Razor said several companies copied its patented brake system. Others have copied the look of the scooter, including its oval foot-grip pad on the scooter's base, its polished aluminum frame and translucent-colored wheels.

That's because Micros are COMPLETELY different. I'm not saying all of the companies are gone.

i dont understand what the big deal is about fuzion "not having a future." even if razor and all this shit didnt have a future...id still do it, i dont really care where it goes. i know by just doing it and having fun will spread scooterings own word. its so stupid to argue and talk about how it has a future. dont worry it about it lol if its fun, just do it and stop being idiots about everything. everything has the opportunity to progress, it just matters whos hands its in....fuzion is in the right hands...the only reason razor and micro or whatever are progressing is because of word of mouth, there is no ONE person doing it. get over yourselves. people say "i hate fuzion", its stupid...who gives a shit (DONT ride one), get a fucking restraining order against them idk. i dont love fuzion but i support frank and the people progressing in that "sport" as well as a "job" or whatever they wanna call it. <3

Razor will sue if the brake, folding mech, and deck shape is copied. If you can find a way around that stuff (which is easy) your free rollin. I think after 14 years, or close to that, a patent is pretty much over and everyone can basically clone what Razor made. So what do we got left, like 7 years until companies can start making scooters worry free (aka scumbag razor not suing them out of business)
