MGP compression on phoenix?

Will the stock MGP nitro compression work on a phoenix with nitro forks? I'm getting a phoenix but i can't get a starnut into my forks.. Please help ASAP.

But the mgp compressions is a long bolt that goes from the top cap to the bottom of the fork without a starnut. The long bolt is designed for the maddgear headtube, with the extra half inch or so mach the bolt too short?
