These guys are NOT kilable without a bow or other better weapons. I just started a new file and am basically getting raped left and right by monsters. Haven't really explored much but it seems like the biomes and caves that generate are much better than before 1.8. This game is pretty much the shit now. I can't wait to get established and start exploring.

Once you get used to it and know how to make it without getting fucking owned then it gets fun. It's a really deep game.
