Montreux (HD)

I know ill get flamed but that was one of the most boring edits ive seen. It was over a minute before I even saw a scooter...

Plus it reminds me of the part on 40 year old virgin when hes like "you know how I know your gay?"
"Cause you listen to Coldplay." hahah

Good editing and everything, But desperately lacking excitement. IMO

Vert sesh looked sickk. Wish I could have been there.

Idk, I dont mean to offend anyone but personally Im just not into the whole trendy artsy deep editing style that is often used in mainstream skate/bmx vids. And this just seemed like it was trying to mimick that. And I feel like it takes away from the riding.

Hahah, Cory, i agree with you. No offence taken. I thought I was the only one who thinks this video stinks.

I don't understand how you people get so hyped up, because that video is defenetaly not THAT good as i was actually hoping since it doesn't contain that much riding footage, so my best bet is that the french/Dissidence video will be even more amazing and more trickwise.

As Cory mentioned, the intro bugs me aswell, since it takes like a minute before you see some real riding footage (if you don't count the slider at the beginning). I had done some thinking about it because I certainly didn't want to make two separate videos (where one would show the scenery that Montreux is possibly the most beautiful place on planet Earth and the other would contain only riding footage), and i also didn't want to mix up scenery clips with riding clips randomly, because indoor clips with outdoor scenery clips in a scrambled way would look goofy, which is why I put the scenery in the beginning, and the riding more towards the end. For me, it's a trip video, not much of a "riding video" since it's not that trickwise either.

Thanks for the comments though.

no-one complain about the intro, u've all seen Transit right?

imo the intro was awesome, without the intro i don't think it would be as good, also i wanted to see you smile =D

the only improvement i see is if it was longer and a bit more "up close" with riders :]

Madis did you film/edit this?

Dont get me wrong, I think itd make an awsome intro for a full length vid or somthin, and it is edited purdy damn good. I Just Read the comments about how it is suposedly the BEST vid ever made and was kind of let down after I actually watched it ha. (I still think the frid vid is amazing) :)
It just felt like once the riding finally started it kinda ended right away. But there was some good clips especially the vert stuff. Who did that flair like way over cope??

what was his 20th birthday wish?
To be able to go to Montreux. If you would have actually used your brain effectively and efficiently, then you would have realised that yourself why would I thank my parents for my 20th birthday wish coming true in a Montreux trip video. I've wanted to go there ever since they organized the first competition but I never had any time, but this year I managed to find some time and my parends funded my trip as a birthday present.

I already answered your post on 2nd page. Despite your new comment, I still think the video stinks.

As for the first question:
Andrew filmed me and Peasley, Terry filmed most of the vert, I did the rest.

And in case you didn't notice: there are names at the right bottom corner on each clip,
so you could have read that it was Martin Nogol (from Czech Rep.) who did that flair.
The magic of HD is that you can leave some tiny details unnoticed such as small
texts and fine prints which you can actually read since HD enables you to do it.
After watching a few times i actually saw a bug crawling down on the side of the Montreux sign for example.

PS. I was actually thinking about saving all this footage and release it next year
as a big full video, but there are some issues involving full-length videos.
For me they start to get boring from some point while watching them,
so it's harder to keep the pace up. And all the footage would have
got way too old by that time of releasing. Despite this, there IS some
footage from each trip which I am saving for a little video which will blow your minds.
