Buy a new part! Everytime I order a new part I get super amped. I just ordered the Isaac miller sig fork I'm hyped. Also like Jordan said above take a break. Every fall as it gets cold I get tired of scootin and I snowboard everyday for 5 months I still manage to scoot indoors once a week. In the spring I'm always super tired of snowboarding and ready to scooter like right now haha

If you don't have a shit eating grin on your face whenever you are riding, just stop and take a break. I've had periods where I didn't really feel like I was getting better or learning new tricks and that used to bum me out, but I never really thought about quitting. Now I just don't really worry about what tricks I am doing, I just do whatever is fun, and I honestly think I have become a better rider because of that. Just remember, we scooter to enjoy it, so if you enjoy pushing yourself and learning new things, then do it, if you just want to cruise, then do that.

I'd like to point out that bolded text which I agree to and would like to add:

It is okay to pause. For me it just seems unreasonable for people to sell their scooters when that situation occurs in their lives. I'd say, if you're gonna pause, just keep your scooter in hand just in case till the moment when you feel like going riding again. I've been off and on for ages due to high school, the university, entrepeneurship, the army service, injuries, more company work, various life events, highlights, mental lowpoints etc. The reasons are endless. I may pause from time to time for various reasons but I know I'm not gonna quit, thus I encourage everyone to keep their scooters when ever they feel like "quitting". Take your time, you'll come back to it eventually, I say.

This somehow works for me as well. I guess it's the challenge it proposes when you acquire a new part - how well does it behave compared to your last setup and how well will you cope with it? How long will it last? How functional it is? Will it make some tricks easier? Will I feel more comfortable with it? Etc. These are all questions you're (consciously, and if not, then subconsciously) looking some answers to, hence the elevated interest in riding.
