MUFF / TIC

Well, in the time for practice before the TIC comp, our friend Rob Seng (aka Muff), entered intermediate, fell on a double whip over a hip, and landed on his bars. He ruptured his spleen (3 lascerations (sp)). He sat out for a little bit and later threw up. An ambulance was called and he went to the Brick Township Hospital and needed an emergency operation, where he lost a liter of blood, if not a little more (i was told). His spleen was removed successfully, and right now he is doing alright. I went to visit him with Frank Coler and a couple friends. He was talking, smiling, and laughing a little bit. He is going home wednesday, and hopefully back to the 'scene' in a month or so, or at least that's what he says.

Thanks everyone at the comp who dedicated runs and their efforts to Muff during the day. It was extremely caring and generous. The comp was amazing and everyone did great, and im sorry he didnt get to enjoy it as much as we all did. But just so everyone knows, he's doing okay and thanks for caring.

sucks that happened, but he had a lot of support, there must have been like at least 20 kids with for muff on their shirts<3

glad to hear hes okay though..hopefully i can drive down there for a chinese meal sometime soon haha

aww dude that poor guy....that sux and he even missed the comp... hope he gets better soon

I think it was the same exact thing which happened to KC when he was snaked while doing a 360 over a spine, except he wasn't taken to the hospital instantly which resulted in his life being in danger. Good to hear that Muff is getting ok, hope he's not gonna have to suffer because of having only one spleen.

you only have one spleen so he doesnt have one now lol he has NO spleen. (you can live with out it apparently)

Good thing hes ok though. When i was in the park i saw the stretcher and i was like whos going out on the stretcher and people were were saying a parent than i found out a little later....

well it happened the day of the comp, just the time before it...so if u were there the 2nd it wouldnt have really made a difference about the 3rd.
