FL Studio FTW! Actually people choose DAW according to their own prefernces and how comfortable do they feel while using it. It doesn't affect the sound itself. What matters the most is the skill of a producer and the range of VSTs he uses.

I'm in a band that play tech metal as the drummer, I also play guitar and sometimes dick around and record stuff for that, sometimes I try and make music on reason 5 but have never really completed anything on it, ages ago I used to make dubstep and hip hop beats on an app for psp called beaterator
