most of you guys probably don't care about this, but my dad spoke at Web 2.0 Summit about his company "Singly" and about his new project called "the locker project"
he's planning and hoping for this project to be a big success and to be as big as facebook someday.

So what he basically wants to do is centralize all personal data into a database accessible to you at all times? sounds cool but i have to see what direction its going to go in. is it going to be a social networking site or just a collection of all the data or...

either way, dudes a visionary for sure.

I like this idea. It would be awesome if he could find a way for your data from say, facebook for example, to be copy written to you so that they couldn't use any of your data.

when you sign up for facebook you waive all rights to sole ownership of what you post, they can do whatever they like with your data.

my dad has somthing like this for his work (he works for shell oil) and its gonna like merge upstream and downstrean or the rigs and the refinarys and t tell them when to replace pipes and stuff so it like the same thing but not for social things
