you guys were rocking on crazy train. lol at the drums and bass on yyz. thats sick to even attempt that solo, but 50% of that solo is clicking into the bass line and hitting breaks with the drum fills. and also understanding the layers of time and effort put into the solo, to feel it and how it flows against the eigth note to two sixteenth note pattern on the ride cymbal (that your drummer doesn't even play lol). but yea, those things are all learned with time, and for 12 years you fucking rip. keep it up man

Dude what are you talking about? my drummer is playing the same pattern on the ride as the actuall song, and in the guitar solo it stops after a few measure and then theres a drum or bass fill and the guitar comes back in, just listen to the song.

haha chill out bro, i know that song backwards and forwards, note for note, on bass guitar drums and synth. i'm saying, the reason rush is so good, and so tight, is because all their parts click together so well. a slightly louder hit on the bass drum might accent a slap in the bass part which happens to be a harmony of whats going on in the guitar solo. stuff like that thats all planned out. rush music is near impossible to play perfect. k i just went back and watched, hes playing some kind of pattern like that on the ride cymbal, but no where near as in charge of the song as peart plays it. now i'm really not trying to be a dick by saying this, but it really is something that probably a 12 year old band can't pick up. i didn't start noticing it til i had been playing for about 10 years. and your bass player and drummer need to make some eye contact and connect with each other a little, cause they were both all over the place.
