Need A New Camera

well pretty much im gonna start taking photography of stuff, plants, building, scootersss.. etc. etc
but i need a new camera im thinking a Canon or FujiFilm around $300-500 because my birthday is coming up soon and i need to tell my parents what to get me
if anyone on SR tht could have any suggestions on what to get.. for around tht sort of money and please send me the link for the camera where to buy.

d40 is your best bet. i have one and love it.
