so i have been out of scootering for about 4 months as i dislocated my shoulder 10 times so it is messed up. i am going to have an operation but dont know when. i started riding a again on my street taking it easy a few days ago and this morning my jd bug deck (yes a razor pro equivalent) snapped on me. I actually have another footplate (bit with the foldy on) so i will put that on for now but am thinking of getting a new setup. I dont think strength will be too much of an issue as with my shoulder i have to take it easy anyway. what do you guys reccomend. also is there any major scooter news i have missed, i have been out of the loop for a while.
anyway my current setup is:
ethic grips (blue)
mr h bars 24 h in scs and 20 w, this is a little too short.
crisp 5 bolt scs (it actually works fine)
tilt nimbus forks
cane creek tank II headset
crisp 110mm wheels, these ones aren't dehubbing but are a little heavy
jd bug deck and brake
do you think i should just buy a completley new scooter as the parts are outdated except for the fork and grips really, if so what do you recommend. i want a really nice performance/feel with the right dimensions. probably 26 high bars and 19-22 wide. i think i want a fairly light scooter. from my current setup you can obviously see that i have not been a weight freak by any means, it is just that i want as little stress on my shoulder as possible (doing tricks I can feel it move around), i cannot do any sort of scooter fliping trick as it will just dislocate my shoulder. cost is definatley a factor as i do not want to spend too much, i am thinking of possibly buying a complete as the value for money is normally much better.
I am around 6ft tall btw.
